Working with Nicole Reine

I never planned for photography to become my life’s work. I simply wanted to hold onto the moments that felt too fleeting. A tilt of light. A quiet glance. The way time bends in the presence of love.

I spent years behind the lens, documenting everyone else—rarely stepping into the frame myself. And then, I became a mother. Everything shifted.

Suddenly, I saw how much we give, how much we carry, and how little we preserve of ourselves in the process. We take the photos, but we’re never in them. We forget that we are part of the story too.

Now, when I photograph couples, I think of Danny—my steady hand, my first love. When I capture motherhood, I see the same tenderness I feel for Anastasia, mirrored back to me in someone else’s arms.

This work—it’s personal.
